mine is a 1980 911 sc gray market. i am in the process of trying to find out the exact size of the plate in the window by the a pillar not on it. my recollection is pretty good and i remember that it did not have rivets and was located on drivers side about 3-4 inches from a pillar. it was very thin aluminum and about 2-3" in length and about 1/2'' high with rounded edges. i don't recall having a b-pillar sticker ever. does anyone have the measurments on an original window vin plate? i am selling this to a gentleman in california and he said he needs both. the vin plate i can understand but the b-pillar is it required by CAL state law or just a suggestion. i have a local shop willing to make the plate just need the size. just for good measure does anyone have a contact for the door jam(b-pillar) sticker? thank you for any info
