I'm surprised we got thru 'Sympathy for the Devil' unmolested.

We were rock stars then, and young.

I had a girlfriend whose father was some big PR honcho for Warner Brothers. He'd come home just about twice a month with comp tickets to big name acts at the Old Ford Theater or Cobo Hall or Olympia or just about any other venue in Detroit which was the epicenter of Rock n' Roll at the time. He'd fan out the tickets like a deck of cards and we'd take our pick. Best concert I ever saw was Jethro Tull on the Thick As a Brick Tour.

Doobie Brothers, Stones, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Elton John, Bob Seger, Average White Band. Oh the memories! The Doobie Brothers actually opened for T-Rex (of 'Bang A Gong' fame). Everybody left 1/2 way thru T-Rex; the Doobies stole the show!

I experienced a lot of 'firsts' back then-or so I'm told, my recollection actually being a bit foggy about it all.
