My Miata had 260k mies on it and it kicks out great HP on the dyno. I race it in the spec miata class.. But you can pick one up with less that 100k for 2-3k EASILY ..
Picked up a spare engine and transmission for $350 total with 130k miles on them.. pretty ease engine swap BTW...
