As an adult, I'd rather spend just a little but more money and get a Kart or ATV, or other toy that actualy gets bugs and mud on my own face than toy truck.
And yes I've owned many a many R/C car/boat/glider/airplane, but nothing like getting the real weather and G-forces instilled into your butt, not via a joy stick.
to each his own, R/C cars are a great way to induce real world mechanicals to kids.
