And yes I've owned many a many R/C car/boat/glider/airplane, but nothing like getting the real weather and G-forces instilled into your butt, not via a joy stick.
to each his own, R/C cars are a great way to induce real world mechanicals to kids.

When I say school, it is my senior year of college. I already have a wrf250f for all my full scale off road fun, I agree it's pretty tough to beat the real thing but when you have to drive an hour+ to ride anywhere and have to pay for fuel on top of it the rc stuff is great.
