I Made A Woman Cry Last Night

I have a gig at a small Bistro in town a couple of evenings each month. Two hours of me and a guitar, singing some of my own stuff and covers from the 60s to present. I try to keep it mixed up, with a rotation of some sentimental stuff with some faster tunes.

After my set was through, I was having dinner with my wife and a fellow came up, apologized for interrupting my supper and thanked me for the music. I recalled he and a lady had been dining together at a table not far from my wife.

After I had packed up for the night, I was speaking with the owner and she asked me if I recalled the couple. When I said I did, she related how she had noticed them sitting, not eating or talking and went over to inquire if everything was alright. The woman had tears in her eyes and told the owner she was caught up in the ambiance. The music had gotten to her.

The owner was impressed. It's nice to touch someone with the music.

(Hey, Musicians get the chicks!)
