You might laugh but could not believe it the first time I landed in Moscow... they were using old jet engines mounted on a flatbed truck with the exhaust nozzle ducted at an angle downwards and sideways to blow and melt snow off of the taxiways and parking stands. Noisy as hell but eventually worked!
