My mom passed away when I was in Navy. I came home on emergency leave while she was still in the hospital. The night they took her off life support I went to the house, but my dad stayed at my sister's. I was laying in bed just trying to process what had just happened when a hat that had been hanging on the corrner of mirror (probably untouched for about two years) fell to the floor. Totally freaked me out as I was staring right at it when it fell.
