The money would be quite good and I could use base facilities to save on groceries, etc...as I am a military retiree. They would not pay to move our stuff though...and we have a lot. I guess I would get rid of what I could bear to part with and put the 911s and the rest of our furniture in my house in Vegas until we came back to retire. Then I could just get a small one bedroom in Hawaii.

I have been to Oahu and Maui several times for R&R after deployment, vacation and a couple of conferences. I spent a month working at Hickam in 2007 that I really enjoyed...especially since my employer paid me a pretty darned good per diem rate when I was there. I don't know if I would want to stay long term, but a couple of years would be grand.
