Grundy Insurance quote and inconsistent information
I recently applied for a Grundy collector policy and they did have a checkbox in the application indicating I planned to use my vehicle occasionally to drive to-and-from work. The policy documents do state "My vehicle will not be used frequently for regular driving such as driving to and from work..." however I called to confirm that I wouldn't have an issue with my car not being in a covered garage while in the office and was told that my car would not be covered for any form of commuting to the office.
I'm a bit confused why they include a checkbox for my original quote allowing me to commute and then tell me conflicting information on the phone. Needless to say, I do not plan to obtain a policy with them.
Are there any insurance companies that offer reasonable collector car insurance that do allow driving that isn't just pleasure or car show driving? Or am I stuck paying $1100/year for my normal policy for a car I drive on average 1-2 times per week?
