"Met some very nice people at the vigil. I learned that the reason the negotiations have been so difficult is that he has no demands. They aren't getting anywhere. Also, he seems to be taking very good care of the boy. The little boy's father is deceased, so it's just his mother but there is also a grandmother that is very close. Family of both the boy and the wacko are having to jump from hotel to hotel because the media won't leave them alone."
