By the way, I'm not a 70/71 expert by any means, although I've owned my '70 since '78. I thought it would be fun to understand the car better, and kind of got carried away with the details.

If you have not checked it out already, go to the 911t.pca.org/options website. It has much good information about your car's options, and is an official Porsche document.

The rectangular (flag) exterior mirrors were introduced in 1972. Prior to then the mirrors were round Durant, of various diameters. I'm fairly certain our host has reproduction Durant mirrors for sale.

In '70 and '71 the S came with front and rear anti-sway bars standard. The E's left the factory with the Boge hydrodynamic suspension and no anti-sway bars. Anti-sway bars were not standard equipment on the T. Front and rear anti-sway bars were a factory option on the T. One source states that a front-only anti-sway bar was a factory option on the T. I have found no information as to whether anti-sway bars were an after-market possibility with the E's Boge hydropneumatic suspension.

In two, or three months I plan to reissue this thread (-REDUX) to collect and assimilate the new information that has been contributed and correct the errors in my original post. Thanks for all the input from you guys. Keep it coming if you have additional information. What's surprised me in this research is the large number of differences between the 70 and 71. The vast majority of the sources only reference the different glove box latch.
