Re: the scope alignment. I just take the bolt out and line up the bore and scope. That gets me on paper at 100 yards and I adjust from there. A bore laser achieves the same result. I even use this method with my AR uppers. Works great!

I like OJ's advice. A 700 is a tack driver. I don't have one but my bro owns many. I always let a good gunsmith install the scope. I don't have the alignment tools . I would buy it.
