I only can think of three big winter storms in the last 60 to 70 years around these parts. One in the 50's that produced 5 feet of snow, one in the mid to late 70's that shut down the whole state, and one in the 90's that dumped 3 to 4 feet of snow. One big storm happens around here every 20 years it seems. Back in the 90's we were homebound for a week at most. Most people panic and drain the shelves of water, milk, bread, tp, snow shovels and road salt. Retailers love it when the storms get hyped because they sell all their supplies in short order.
This storm has the makings of a medium size storm. If you live in the affected area I wouldn't go out tomorrow until it is safe. Pay a kid to shovel your walk (after it's shoveled.) Sit at home safe and secure and enjoy the day off.
