I dunno about this. You have to buy the right car. Porsches top model of a given generation always seems to appreciate in value whereas he 924s, 944s, 912s, don't have the same fate. Interestingly, the 914s if they are well kept have started to climb in value... Never saw that coming.

If you bought a 73 Carrera RS 14 years ago, you would have seen a 10X increase in value.

How about a pre 74 911S? These have appreciated about 5X over the last 10 years.

934s are in a similar boat.

I sold part of my portfolio to buy my 76 930 because I am banking that it will appreciate in value better than the stock market over the next 5-10 years.
