I think it depends on which Porsche model you buy. My wife's 1987 930 cost us $24,500, had to do a clutch and a valve job and sold it after 12 years for $29,500. My 914 race car was $6,000, had 3 engines and three trans overhauls in 10 years and I sold it for $20,000. Averaged 6 or 7 races a year. My daughter's 914 cost us $4,000, had one engine replaced in 12 years (won a Parade class championship) and was sole for $3,500 (I think?). Sure miss the race car........
