I have always done pretty well on my "investments" with Porsche cars. It helps that I do all the labor myself. I have had multiple 914 cars, a 1986 944, a 1980 928, and my last one, a 1987 Carrera. I didn't make any money on the Carrera. I spent a butt load on that car. 3.4 twin plug...etc. etc. But I built it for me not ever having expected to sell it. I have to add that I didn't lose any money on that one either.
