So? I wanted to unload my 911S...I like my Mustang. It did a great job of taking my wife and I where we wanted to go today, and back home. Great wipers, defroster, sound system, and comfortable seats. Did so better than the old garage queen (fair weather driven only) ever could have.
To stay on topic..all cars cost money. Some depreciate faster than others. Others retain their value. A VERY FEW actually gain in value, but that gain is very little when you add up the full cost of ownership. Yes, there is a "Porsche tax"...in higher insurance, much higher parts, higher labor rates for P-car mechanics, etc.
Evidently, the Porsche image isn't worth as much to you as it once was. Boy, do I ever understand that!
