Reverse mortgages are not always the best way to go due to the high fees charged.

Also, make sure both names of the couple are on the loan papers. I just read where an elderly wife was kicked out of her home due to the fact only her husbands name was on the loan and he passed away........

I wish my mother would do a reverse as she doesn't have much money to live on. She won't do it as she wants to leave the house to us 5 kids.....I'd rather not get a dime if it meant she had a better standard of living now.....
