Many many years ago the day before payday I had just enough money to buy myself a nice 1 1/4" T-bone. The butcher cuts it for me special. I get home from a long day at work and open the butchers paper to season the steak and do both sides. I leave the steak on the counter and go outside to start the hibachi grill. I go inside to get a small fan to hurry the briquettes along and the dog is standing on the butchers paper licking it to get the last drop off. He looks up at me and burps. Not just a little burp but a long bottom of the stomach burp. I could smell the onion powder on his breath. He was letting me know he really enjoyed that steak. Me, I had packaged chicken soup for dinner.
