Once again 4 years back I was wanting some "more" .22lr (and once again, dang you pelican lever teasers) so I'm in a Wallyworld and EUREKA, they'd just shelved a whole bunch of 500ct boxes. Dude in front of me bought every dang one
. The "hoarders" and the hype have more to do with the barren shelves than anything imo. In that gentleman's defense, I think he was doing a "group buy" for a bunch of scouts, teens or something. I was almost gonna ask him to sell me a box until I heard him tell the cashier that...I just waited a few months on the .22 also. To be clear, I'm never "out" of anything...I just don't burn through it during times like this...YMMV.
