My 86 came with a set when I bought it. I have no idea if they are heavy or light weight. I would guess light weight. I have them set over the original mats. The clip system works well as far as I'm concerned. Nylon strap threads through and hooks to the back of the seat mount base. This is then connected to buckles sewn to the bottom of the mat. They are adjustable and can be snugged tight to the seats so they don't slide forward. -J
