My suggestion would be go with the heavier weight (plush) pile. I have the regular style in two cars (911 & S4) and my experience is that my heal has worn the pile a little faster than I would have liked (and expected). Neither cars are daily drivers so it's not like I am commuting every day and wearing them out. Just my experience...
