The best advise I will give you and advise I have always stuck buy after buying 3 Porsche's
At some point just buy a car...
Buy this I mainly mean don't strive for perfection, little things can be fixed. I have read to many threads about people that walked away from cars because there were some rock chips on the hood or the AC did not work (I am exaggerating here a bit). Keep in mind you are talking about a car that is pushing 30 years old there will be things wrong with it. Many here will tell you that these are 20K cars, you either pay it up front or after purchase fixing things. I say that depends how much work you do your self but its still most likely true. if the car is in more or less decent shape, more or less rust free, drives well, and most importantly you want it. I say buy it. Every one here will agree that no matter what these cars are a labor of love. I have always used Porsche's in some form (924S -> 911SC -> 944) as my DD, and if they are driven, get fresh oil when they need it, get a regular tune (plugs, filters, and fluids) they will be excellent cars. Neglect them, and only drive them once a year, they will always be broken and you will come to despise owning it. If you own one than chances are you know more or less what you are looking at. Trust your self and trust the forum it truly knows best.
Regards
Dave
