Speaking of that....what the hell is the deal with people taking their shoes off on the airplane?
I had never seen it before but last Thursday the business traveler in the window (I was in the aisle seat) popped his shoes off as soon as he sat down. I couldn't smell anything but that's not the point. You aren't in your living room, keep your shoes on.
