Asfar as rarity and buying now...do a little research on 100% stock GNX or just really clean/low mile GN sales. GNXs are regularly in 100k++ range.
My uncles father (they own a dealership) has an '87 GN, 13,xxx miles...many offers over $40k and he won't let it go...

I did say "very few of them". A few thoughts, it sickens me that
very few GNX's actually have any miles on them. It seems every one had the same brilliant idea, "buy one and park it".
Now the case of the WE4 Turbo T from 1987, this is a car that is more rare than the GN and faster too, they're not worth a whole lot. I just sold a roached out example for $2900.
