The market value for the car will be more than $2K over what they could wholesale it for (which they won't, since they've certified it) unless there's something wrong with the car. There's more to CPO than a warranty- it has to pass an extensive inspection, including having both remotes, a minimum amount of brakes left, tire tread, being current on maintenance, etc.. It's probably had money spent on it getting it up to snuff by either/both dealers vs cars sent to auction, so I wouldn't think $30K is unreasonable depending on the condition of the car (the auction cars show average condition).
