Sorry oddjob, but I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this point. I know there are lots of stories circulating among shooters about the poor guy that got in trouble for using handloads to defend himself. Upon closer examination, however, each and every one of them comes unraveled. There have always been other issues involved - no clear cut cases of self defense have ever seen a man in trouble on the sole basis of having used his own handloads. I believe Brian Pearce, writing in Handloader magazine, pretty well busted this myth years ago with real research, as opposed to gun club talk and internet forum discussions.
