To the former, run run run! The girls that latch onto a guy because he drives a Porsche will eventually give you the same reaction as finding a large spider dropping from the ceiling at you. I loved my yellow 944, but it attracted a lot of little shelobs. I prefer my black and dark blue ones in that they blend in better.
As for the advice, +1, don't worry about the car. Just make sure its clean which ever you take.
