Pull some of the interior pieces out, put the spare tire on it, get a few little pieces of vinyl wrap that looks like primer paint and stick it on the car take her out in it, Tell her that you got a great deal on it and it's a fixer upper. Then if it goes well, before each time she sees it "fix" part of the car and she'll think that your a handy guy and that you have skills.
