Congrats! Did you sell the C4s?
As far SLC-Dallas goes, I'd suggest one of these two routes for more fun and better scenery, contingent on good road conditions.
I did Denver-OKC through KS for some time and it's not very exciting, to say the least. Keep in mind also that KS has a speed limit of 70, and lots of troopers.
