Ronnie - Not sure I can answer your question without more information.
Part of the wiring problem was that the red lead in the fuel pump relay had been soldered to the black lead and was running without a relay. I cleaned up the wiring and got the correct (red) relay. In starting with the relay, I dont hear the fuel pump running (might be why they spliced the two?). So I pulled the relay and jumpered between the red and black ports in the relay. Now with starting, I can hear the fuel pump running, but it still wont start.
