Update: A mechanic I know that has an older beemer basically suggested I pass. I was under the impression I could muddle through a good tune-up and rebuild or replace the fuel pump. He assured me these bikes are not simple DIY machines. The fuel system is complicated, expensive to repair, and requires a slew of tools I don' t have. And, it has 65k miles on the clock. In addition, this was gonna be on top of my 911 project. DANG! Still gonna sell my 650 enduro though...
ShakinJoe, give me your friend's info and I'll pass it on. I think the first $500 would get it. It looks really good. I saw a little corrosion that I assume is from the battery but otherwise it was very clean with no dents or obviuos flaws. Exterior just needs a good detainling. I could probably take more pics.
