I'm 55. My cholesterol is 125. I'm 6'2", 200 pounds. I don't need any medications, but I take vitamins and aspirin. I miss that feeling I had at 18 that there wasn't anything too heavy to lift if you set your mind to it.
I was born with mild cerebral palsy. I was in Forrest Gump leg braces till I was 5. Aggressive physical therapy till high school. Played football in high school, worked construction. Hardly noticed my problem till now. The ligaments in my left leg and hip are tight and knotted. The lifelong strain has worn me down. Still, if I embarked on aggressive physical therapy again I'm sure it would help but it's honestly just too painful. When I start feeling sorry for myself I remember the other kids with cerebral palsy who never got out of their wheelchairs, never played football or wrestled with their kids. Life is good. Beats hell out of the alternative.
