Having now bought a replacement thermostat as my original one was corroded beyond repair, I find myself in a position to do something about the hard oil lines to the front cooler. I could use the ER repair nut, but it is a pricey option for the UK. P&P is almost as much as the nut kit. My pipes have their fair share of flats and kinks and also one has a small hole where the pipe has been scratched which weeps a bit. I have a hydraulics shop near me who can make replacements but recommended the use of flexible braided hose for the full length. I have a sample and it does look good I must admit. Has anyone done this before? Are there any pitfalls? Anyone got a picture??
