That's just it; I don't hang with a "tat group." I, and many of my friends/former comrades, have many tattoos. To me, and most of the people I've known, each tattoo tells a story--a place we've been, a hardship we've encountered, something symbolic for our children, etc. When I'm old and my skin is wrinkled and the artwork has become something possibly unrecognizable, I'll still be able to look at each one of my tats and smile (or frown), recalling the story it told. Well, at least until I become senile.
