Good Friday Morning folks.
When I was in 1st grade I walked to school. My older brother was in 3rd grade and we went to the same school. I remember walking by a long row of honey suckle. We would eat a bunch of them. I remember it as miles each way but I bet it was just a few blocks.
I went to school barefoot and with no shirt. As an adult I loved teasing my parents about how hard it was going to school with no shirt and no shoes. Of course I never wore shoes and only wore a shirt when my my mom made me "dress up." Growing up in Hawaii had advantages for casual clothes. One Easter getting ready for church my mom discovered I had outgrown all of my shoes. I had to wear flip flops to church.
It must have scarred me for life. I am sitting at work now wearing shorts!
It is supposed to be 80 today. I love my shorts.
