Thanks Soren, I definitely will take your advice and do a few laps around the track! I didn't check the mileage and thought it was much farther. It would probably make sense to go to Nurburgring first then head south to Stuttgart and continue south to Italy. I'll be starting my trip in late August so I'll be in Germany, Alps etc. around 1st and 2nd week of September so I hope the Alps won't be a problem.
