I know many don't care for this front end, but I do like it. My stock one was pretty smashed up along the bottom, and I grenaded my splitter on a sidewalk in front of a parking space, so I decided to make a change. I definitely think I want to add fiberglass boxed rocker panels to continue the "flow" for this wider, lower, and generally larger front.
It has fabulous amounts of cooling, and they are known for making a good amount of downforce. The fit and finish was fantastic, a true "bolt on" job.
I have actually been very busy on the car. Added some (temporary) black carpet to neaten things up, deleted the center console, added new racing seats, remounted fire extinguisher properly, Lindsey stainless braided fuel lines, new MOMO Mod 07 wheel and some other smaller stuff. I LOVE the comfort and feel of the new seats and wheel alone. Doesn't hurt I dumped a lot of weight with all these mods this past week and a half
I already fabbed my hood vent panels, they will go in next, along with a billet trans mount, and I have to do some sort of front turn signal/marker lights as well.
I know some will say (or likely think) RICE, but I think it gives the car a real GT look, and I love my new (had them laying in my shop) driving lights...makes the front of the car really look like an 80's GT from the front, like a 935K3 (well, that may be stretching it)
I'm far from done. Man, this is a lot of work. If anyone ever tells you to do your own carpet, tell them to get bent. It sucks, and looks like poo (my version anyway, I am no upholsterer. Looks better than paint and pieces of glue and insulation, anyway. Still some work to do, as you can see.
I may do the wheels black today. The 16" rims look even smaller now, and going back to black may help with that some until I can afford some good 17" wheels (already have a set of tires)
I just had to post it to show someone who might give a crap, my wife is sick of my car!
