Guy....when you live in a neighborhood where do you think the money comes from for such things as:
snow removal
landscaping
entrance sign upkeep
lawn mowing in common areas
so on so on so on????

I have owned 2 house both of which had HOAs and they are necessary if you want the neighborhood to stay a nice place to live
