My first suggestion is that you determine what "easy airport access" is, as you mentioned flying a lot. I fly weekly, and I live right in town. My airport trip is 45 minutes with no traffic.

If (less than 30 minutes) easy airport access is important to you, you've sort of narrowed your choices to flat land out east/NE/SE. Far, far, from the mountains. Nothing wrong with that, though. If you want some acreage or something it's definitely attainable and you could find a good neighborhood.

If you want to be closer to the hills you might have to up your airport ride to an hour or 1:15 or something, and there's still some good options.
