These cars are not going to decrease in price anymore then the 356 have. The Europeans buyers are picking them up as those with plenty of pocket change here. The 1974 - 1977 market is still a great buy if your interested in a reasonalble 911, just make sure the engine work was done on the 2.7. I owned a 1974 911 and it was a blast to drive as too the SC models (I had a 1979 SC) which by the way are coming up in price. You can still find a great SC under 20K if you take time to search well.
If you want a Porsche 911 and cannot afford a lot of money, look at the post longhood models, particulary the 1974 - 1977 years. The reputation of these cars based on the notorious engine issues has created a "stigma" in the Porsche community as the least popular run of 911's. It was only the engine (2.7 ran hot due to added thermo reactors to meet the emission standards and the casing's separated from the heat). Today its not an expensive fix and most running 911's of that vintage were repaired and doing well.
Do your homework, do not get discouraged and make your dream of ownership happen.
