[Dueller]

This is Robbin, Jim's nurse friend. He is slow on the uptake with his typing today so I am his typist. Our news is the best we could hope for in that Jim's CVA was very mild. He has wonderful odds of full recovery with a bit of work ahead. He is going through a battery of tests to determine the cause so that appropriate interventions can be taken to prevent a repeat performance. He is undergoing PT with hip thrust exercises -- somehow he said he could have used me for those -- what does that mean??!!!! LOL Also OT and Speech is in progress. He has to turn his head to the weak side (left) to swallow safely so don't laugh when he does that during your next beers. That's a safety issue. Speech Therapy also wants him to do tongue thrusts and he's wondering if he's really in a hospital or is it actually a brothel! As you can probably tell, he is still JIM with an intact sense of humor, which is very helpful in the face of the recovery he will make.
