Well, it is a double bearing. I understand that with the single it is the clip style that lays on the top, but the double is inside and should pop when you pull.
I definately see this topic beaten to the ground in many forums, and asking for advice on it was a last resort. Makes me feel like an idiot because the IMS is discussed frequently. I just have not seen this issue come up.
