Oh, I discovered one of my professors used to run Mul back in his youth. Rode a Dunstall Norton back when Malibu Canyon was not clogged with traffic. He mentioned the Rock Store and that got me started.
Another professor got his private pilot license in 2 weeks by flying twice a day and treating it like a 9-5 job. I think he said it cost $7,000. He tought the combustion engines class and had some guest lecturers. One was a 356 guy from around here and Clint and Craig from Rebel Racing know him. He had a 356 Registry shirt on the day of the lecture and I had a shirt with the "2,2" logo from the 1970-1971 911s.

The other lecturer was a Dr. of Mechanical Engineering, an A+P mechanic, and certified to sign off on other A+P mechanic's work. Both lecturers were available to talk after class. The second one had some fun stories about rigging the landing gear on his Cessna 310 and 412.
