Anyone who didn't know Wikipedia is biased, and not a reliable source of information, has had their head in the sand. However, Wikipedia is typically a good source to find references. On most topics, they have source documentation where they gleaned their information from. I typically skim over the wiki page, and then head to the source documents listed as references to get a more rounded idea of what's what.
FWIW, most college professors will NOT accept wikipedia as a reference, at least from my experience.
