He agreed to be traded to one of four teams. The Flames agreed to a deal with the Bruins. Iginla changed his mind after the deal was made, and refused to go to the Bruins.
That's why TSN announced the deal to the Bruins.
I have no problem with him controlling where he gets traded to, but once he put the Bruins on his list he was obligated to accept the trade.
Bad on the Flames for not getting his agreement in writing (assuming they didn't) and bad on the Flames for not being honest about what Iginla did to them.
So the Flames look like idiots, they screw Boston over, and likely had to accept an inferior trade.
