Sounds like you need to make a map and start coloring in the states yellow you have peed in.
Putting my 17 yo (bestests buds companion from 6wks) down was harder than when my father passed. She was so well behaved went with and was welcome everywhere I went. Still get a little verclempt thinking about her. The golden i have now, meh, just a dog.
