I live just south, in Independence. Newer area. Covington/Mainstrasse area are fun to go hang out and have a beer, but too 'city' for me. Yeah, the bridge can be a pain, but if you plan right it's not a big deal... Not at ALL like SoCal traffic so ill take it.... It's the drivers mostly, not the bridge. A lot of VERY fun driving out in the country too.
