Hi Bob, I bought a place about 3 years ago when the housing market was really tanked down here.
I wanted on a golf course, no lawn, small lot, low maintenance, pool, and an East facing backyard. Found a 1800+ sq ft, 3/4 bedroom one on the Coldwater golf course that hit all the check boxes. The pool, deck and patio take up the whole back yard. I have 10 acres in WA to do all the yard work I want and more.
Have spent time in Palm Springs a few times and it just does not offer us all the things we enjoy. We can be at all the pro sports stadiums in less than 25 minutes. 5 Spring Training stadiums in less than 30 minutes. Lots of biking and hiking trails. Can be up in the pine trees and mountains in a little over an hour.
Missing some things, but not the gray and drizzle of the PNW.
Widgeon13, I was just going to go take a look at the cars and maybe meeting some of the locals, not entering.
